Five entrepreneur finalists will pitch their new business ideas to a well-known panel from the recycling and environmental industry Thurs Dec 6th, 2012.
Applications to the pitch are due November 15th!
At stake is an approximate prize package of $30,000 to help propel business forward for the lucky winner and bragging rights as the “Recycling Idol”. The winner will also have an opportunity to meet and discuss potential funding program opportunities with Anchor Sponsors:

The “Idol” competition is a hybrid modeled on American Idol and Dragon’s Den where companies are invited to present their company pitch to an investor panel. The audience selects the final winner based on whom they would most likely invest in.
The event will be chaired by James Sbrolla; Entrepreneur in Residence at the RIC Centre is a veteran of the environmental industries. James is Chairman of Environmental Business Consultants and serves on various other boards and has spent his entire career in the Cleantech Sector.

James has helped more than 200 companies commercialize their ideas and bring those ideas to market. Importantly, 46% of RIC clients have either received funding or been introduced to funding sources and investors.
