GUELPH, ONT., Jan. 7, 2022 – OCAS, the non-profit organization that delivers shared technology and application services to Ontario’s public colleges, today announced that Karen Creditor will retire from her role as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 4, 2022.

“Congratulations to Karen on her well-deserved retirement as President and CEO of OCAS,” said Glenn Vollebregt, Chair of the OCAS Board of Directors and President and CEO of St. Lawrence College.

“Karen leaves behind a great legacy; during her tenure, she built an extraordinary team who will continue pursuing new and innovative ways to support Ontario’s college students. OCAS has come far since Karen joined, from offering domestic application support, to today, where OCAS is known and respected for many more services now offered. On behalf of the OCAS Board of Directors, I wish Karen the best in her retirement. We will miss her!”

Karen Creditor joined OCAS in 2013. During her eight years as President and CEO, the organization has diversified its service offerings to colleges, developed new ways to support learners in Ontario and around the world, expanded its team of employees, and been named a top employer in the Waterloo region for six consecutive years.

“It has been my honour and privilege to lead OCAS during this period of transformation and growth and I am incredibly proud of what we have been able to achieve,” Creditor said.

“Throughout this time, I have been humbled by the hard work and commitment of our amazing team, and their passion for supporting learners on their higher education journey. I am grateful to our employees and all our colleagues in the Ontario college system alongside whom it has been a tremendous joy to work, learn, collaborate, and innovate.”

OCAS has engaged executive recruitment firm Promeus to support the search for its next President and CEO. The position will be posted in late January.
