GUELPH, ON, March 2, 2020 – For a second consecutive year, OCAS has been named an Employee Recommended Workplace by The Globe and Mail and Morneau Shepell. This award recognizes organizations nationwide that have successfully achieved a healthy, engaged and productive workforce.

“Our recognition as an Employee Recommended Workplace is particularly meaningful because it is the result of feedback from our employees,” said Karen Creditor, President and CEO of OCAS. “Their dedication and hard work goes into delivering the tools, technology and support that helps hundreds of thousands of learners applying to college each year, and this award reinforces that, above all, we value their well-being.”

The Employee Recommended Workplace Award is the only one of its kind that is based entirely on employee feedback. Employees completed a confidential survey evaluating their total health in four key areas – work life, personal life, physical health, and mental health.

“As an organization, we’re firm believers in the importance supporting the total health of our employees,” shared David Hong, Vice-President, Customer & Employee Services at OCAS. “Through initiatives that support physical and mental well-being, lifelong learning, work-life balance, and collaboration, our focus is on ensuring that our organization, and the people who dedicate themselves to it, continue to thrive.”

OCAS will be attending the Solving Workplace Challenges Conference hosted by The Globe and Mail on March 24. The event includes an award ceremony to celebrate the 62 organizations recognized as Employee Recommended Workplaces for 2020 and award the winners from each business category.
