Waterloo-based HockeyTech Tuesday announced a contract renewal with the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL). The five-year extension of services will provide the league with scorekeeping, statistics and broadcasting on HockeyTV for all regular season and playoff games through the 2023-2024 season via HockeyTech's LeagueStat scorekeeping and statistics and broadcasting technology.
The contract renewal is the extension of a partnership between HockeyTech and the SJHL which has been in place since 2016. “We’re thrilled to be extending our partnership with the SJHL to include more services that bring their fans the best hockey experience,” said HockeyTech CEO Stu Siegel.
LeagueStat simplifies league and team operations by providing user-friendly scorekeeping, statistical tracking and roster management and serves 30 leagues with over 14,000 games scored each year. Starting with the upcoming 2019/2020 season, the SJHL will also begin hosting all their team and league websites with HockeyTech and will launch an SJHL mobile app.
"With technology advances, the SJHL is pleased to continue the partnership with HockeyTech," said Bill Chow, President of the SJHL. "Fans will have access to a mobile app for up-to-date scores of all our games. The SJHL stats and webpages for the league and the teams will have a familiar look.”
Fans can stream games from the SJHL and over 35 other leagues through HockeyTV on desktop, mobile, tablet and OTT devices. HockeyTV is offering its lowest prices of the year on annual subscriptions for a limited time beginning July 1 and continuing until July 4. Pricing details can be found at HockeyTV.com.
