You’ve told us you want the opportunity to grow as a leader. So we’re launching a new program to help make that happen.

Communitech has partnered with Eagle’s Flight to offer this new, full-year training program to help high-potential managers in the tech community to become inspirational leaders.

A maximum of 25 participants will take part in this training program, rooted in experiential design, to develop their ability to inspire and lead others.

“Many people see leadership as a natural progression up the organization chart (and the salary grid), but inwardly they do not genuinely desire the triumphs and the trials that are afforded to the position,” says Rick Willis of Eagle’s Flight. “The rewards are phenomenal, but the trials and pressures can be overwhelming. You will only survive and thrive if you truly commit to invest the time and energy needed to learn how to think and behave as a leader.”

Sound interesting?

What to expect (in a nutshell):

    • Practical, hands-on learning that features customized action plans for use in the workplace between sessions.
    • Personal, open-forum experience that incorporates group discussion, self-assessment and senior-leader involvement.
    • Refresher sessions and post-grad alumni networking events that provide opportunities to connect with other industry leaders and share best practices.

More than just workshops, training sessions are complemented by coaching and networking events throughout the year and beyond. Participants can expect to become a part of a strong community of tech leaders in Waterloo Region.

Contact the Strong Leaders team for information, pricing and to register by Sept. 13 for the 2013-2014 session.
