Google for Entrepreneurs Demo Day


Communitech companies are invited to apply to Demo Day in Silicon Valley and compete for Series A funding from an invite-only room of investors.

In 2014, Vancouver-based startup Mojio gained a $100,000 investment infusion for their pitch.
To qualify, your company must be:

    • An active client of Communitech
    • Actively seeking Series A investment between $1 million and $4 million in or around April 2015.
    • Available to travel to Mountain View, California from March 31-April 2, 2015

Google for Entrepreneurs co-working space at Communitech


Work in the heart of Waterloo Region’s tech scene. Applications are now open to receive free shared tenancy for six months in the Google space at the Communitech Hub. We’ve got the development tools and resources to help you get up and running.

In addition to world-class facilities, you’ll receive the following perks:

    • Ignition Day: includes a tour of Google, lunch with key individuals and a demo to the Google team
    • Advice throughout the tenancy from select experts at Google
    • Closing presentation and potential business opportunities with Google
    • Lunch-and-learns at Google throughout the program

To qualify, your startup must be:

    • Building on a Google platform, including Android, Chrome, Cloud, Maps or YouTube; or
    • Porting your existing iOS or BlackBerry app version to a Google platform
    • Able to succinctly explain company; co-founders’ backgrounds; product; and market fit to investors, Google product experts and others in the Waterloo Region technology community
    • May be at any stage of fundraising
