The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) and CVCA - Canada’s Venture Capital and Private Equity Association - are pleased to launch the first edition of the BDC Innovation Award. This new annual award will recognize an early-stage Canadian company that has demonstrated the ability to bring innovation to market, reshaping a sector or industry in a new or unexpected way.
The Recipient of the 2014 BDC Innovation Award will receive:
An invitation to the 2014 CVCA Annual Conference in Ottawa in May 2014, with travel and accommodation included for up to 2 people (as specified by CVCA and BDC), with the opportunity to deliver an acceptance speech to an audience of investors, entrepreneurs and business leaders;
Prominence in a national press release, including background information about his or her accomplishments and national recognition;
Opportunities to participate in a number of BDC and/or CVCA events during 2014; and
A trophy recognizing the company as the Recipient of the 2014 BDC Innovation Award.
