Aeryon Labs Inc., a Waterloo, Ont., maker of small, unmanned aerial vehicles, has joined the international effort to rush relief to Nepal, which was devastated Saturday (April 25) by an earthquake.
The company has dispatched three of its aerial units and a drone pilot to work with GlobalMedic and Monadrone, a business partner of Aeryon Labs that serves clients in Europe and Africa.
Broken roads and damaged airstrips have slowed the effort to get help to earthquake victims. The drones, however, can take off from almost any site, and provide critical visual information to rescue crews. Read Aeryon’s news release here.
