Entrepreneurs turn ideas into action at Dream Launch Startup Weekend powered by Communitech

Two-day event helps innovators get business ideas off the ground with hands-on workshops, coaching and pitch opportunities

KITCHENER, ONT., February 06, 2025 — Communitech, in collaboration with DreamLinked and the City of Kitchener, will host a Startup Weekend on Saturday, March 1 and Sunday, March 2, 2025. The two-day event will be hosted at the Communitech Hub in The Tannery Building in Kitchener, Ontario. 

The Startup Weekend is an opportunity for entrepreneurs to meet others who share their drive to bring startup ideas to life. New founders, students, developers and business graduates are invited to come together to gain the skills they need to turn exciting concepts into reality.

During the Startup Weekend, participants will:

  • Gain insight into entrepreneurship and learn from experienced industry experts

  • Showcase their startup ideas and get valuable feedback from business leaders

  • Refine their skills in business development and problem-solving

  • Connect and collaborate with a diverse group of talented individuals

  • Build strong relationships through hands-on workshops and teamwork

The Startup Weekend will also feature presentations from industry leaders and startup experts. Participants will have an opportunity to pitch solutions and gain live feedback from a panel of expert judges, and engagement and consultation from startup advisors. The winning team will receive a cash prize of $1000.
